The Pet Lodge
The Pet Lodge is based deep in the Spanish countryside near Almogia village about 30 minutes inland of Malaga city.
However we have many pick up points from Villa nueva del Trabucho to Marbella and most towns in between
or we could meet you at the
airport before you go and enjoy your well deserved break.
Each night costs €12 per dog / €8 per cat

Our kennel interiors and routines have been designed by the
Doghouse team, the focus being your pets health and well being. So instead of a boring kennel setting we have calm music piped around the entire kennel block for aural stimulation as well as all meals being fed from interactive toys. This mentally stimulates your dog and allows them to incorporate 2 of their favourite things - Food and Play!
Each dog is taken for a minimum of 3 walks a day, it gives them more time out of the kennels and doesn't force house trained dogs to soil their play area.
We only feed our own premium dog food so no need to worry about the dogs being fed on cheap food that is bad for their health.
Each kennel has a Kuranda bed to allow a cool breeze during the day and keep them off the cold floor at night, The Kuranda dog bed is vet recommended to help prevent joint-related difficulties and eliminate ugly elbow calluses. It is beneficial for arthritic, geriatric and special needs pets.
Your pup won't spend their time alone, we have supervised play sessions for those that would like to socialise their dogs with other friendly dogs and clicker training sessions for those that want that little bit of extra mental agility!

~ Swimming ~
We will take your precious pooch down to the Casasola Reservior for a delightful cool down in the lake. If your doggy doesn't swim they can paddle in the more shallow waters of the streams or we can give them their first lesson in keeping their head above water.

~ Hiking ~
Early morning or evening before the sun is at its hottest we can explore the surrounding mountains, take in the lovely views and let the dogs sniff until their
heart (and nose) are content.

~ Cycling & Jogging ~
For those dogs with that little bit of a spring in their step (and the ones that bounce of the walls) we can take them out for a run out and about in the glorious campo.

~ Socialisation & Play time ~
If your dog likes the company of other canine playmates we can assess him to find a suitable playmate or two.
They will spend an hour fully supervised by one of our staff meeting new friends in our doggy playground.

~ Extra 30 minute walk ~
Although the dogs are never short of getting out of the kennel environment
we can spoil your dog with an extra 30 minute off site walk.

~ Day Trips ~
Only for the most extravagant of pooches
Why not really spoil your dog and let him experience a great day out,
including time out and about with our dogs,
house time (cuddles on the sofa included),
lunch at a cafe
where they can relax in the shade while chewing on a freshly stuffed Kong
with either fresh fish or nature diet mix.
A town walk where they can experience the local residents both human and canine
or a trip to the resivior where they can paddle or swim
and a full hour of
Socialisation and playtime included!!
After a day like that they will be ready to dream about chewing up your slippers but no need to worry because we will give them a large (good quality) rawhide for them to chew instead.

You can book as many extras as you like and we will use them throughout your dogs stay.
Our Cattery is open with each chalet consisting of a run and sleeping area, lots of food dispensing toys and a scratch tree for the cats to climb and plenty of fresh water, food, litter tray and lots of affection.
